A lot of people have asked me over the past two months if I'm really running for president or just joking around and having fun. My initial answer was "a little bit of both." I'm running because I am truly disappointed/disgusted with our two leading candidates. I'm running because it is absolutely time for a viable and competitive third party in American politics. I'm running because I want to encourage more Americans to run for political office because our country needs more options. And, I'm running because it is time for The Greatest Generation and Baby Boomers to pass the baton to the next generation of leaders. I personally wanted a young, energetic, passionate, liberal to moderate, middle class candidate to vote for in this election, so I decided to step up and be the candidate that I'm looking for.
I originally decided to be a bit irreverent since I'm such a long shot, I work full time and I have a limited budget. However, after last week's debates and this week's Supreme Court ruling, I'm all in and shifting the tone. I'll still continue to post some humorous content, but I'll be adding serious content as well. Democrats are truly in trouble after this past week. So if you're liberal, moderate, or a completely disgruntled Republican, America needs another option in November and I am committed to doing everything within my power to be that option. Even if it's just a small post each day.
In case you are wondering (because I have receive this question as well) I am officially registered as a presidential candidate. I filed all of the necessary forms back in March. I registered as unaffiliated and as a write-in candidate. So America, this is my Hail Mary to our country! If you are part of the 70% that truly dislikes our current candidates and you are looking for another option, then I ask for your vote, or at the very least, I ask you to hear me out for the next few months as I continue to make my case to the American people.
